Workflow software developer Onevision has announced v23.2 of its eponymous modular product, with additional features for automated production.

With the release of the new version, additional connectors have been added, bringing integration to ColorGate Productionserver Rips and to Horizon StitchLiner binding systems. Version 23.2 also offers optimisation of print sheet preparation and improvements in variable data printing. The workflow editor has been enhanced with a new module overview for optimised handling, simplifying in particular the handling of complex workflows. The additional display of throughput times per job also ensures greater transparency.

OneVision has also introduced new functionality for the image processing software Amendo AI. The software now also processes and optimises tiled images in PDF files in order to  ensure uniform image quality. The Smart Crop function has been improved and can now also crop images independently of the AI-based object recognition.

OneVision says that the implementation of automation software can be ‘a real game changer’ for many companies, with benefits from such solutions including saving on substrates, optimising throughput times and relieving staff. It quotes Sergio Nobile, CEO of Swiss company Edubook, and a OneVision user of several years as saying, ‘We have 50% more jobs in-house than before, but still with the same staff,’
