In many ways 2020 is going to be a pivotal year that will set the direction for the new decade. This is as true in the print industry as anywhere, and as the next few months include a number of events of interest to anyone in the digital print sector, we should get some early indications of what to expect.
This week there’s Heimtextil in Frankfurt and a couple of weeks later, EFI’s Connect annual conference in Las Vegas. March sees the Fespa Global Expo, this year in Madrid rather than a German city, with Sign & Digital UK at its usual venue of the NEC, Birmingham, in April. Come June and it will be time once again for drupa, the granddaddy of print shows, in its regular setting of Dusseldorf. Digital Printer will be previewing, visiting and/or reporting from all these to bring you news of the latest products, technology developments and market trends.
Some of that coverage will appear here online, but the show previews and reviews will only be in the magazine, so if you want the complete picture, you’ll need to look at both.
While the website access remains free to anyone, as part of our development of Digital Printer and its sister titles Digital Labels & Packaging and FlexoTech, we require our print edition readers to be registered.
Just because you currently receive a print edition, it doesn’t automatically follow that you will continue to – unless you have registered within the last year. Our un-registered circulations can extend to five years but we are now phasing them out. Over the next few issues we’ll be including carrier sheets that tell you whether your details are current or require re-registering. Look out for these, and if you get the ‘needs re-registering’ one, please take a moment to give us the necessary details, by post or online.
If you don’t yet get the print edition and would like to, you can register online. It’s simple, quick and gets you our full output of news and feature materials to help you understand the technology, spot the opportunities and develop your business.
There’s a lot coming this year, so register now to get all of it.
